LIfe is lots of things. I try to not let it be dull. That would be the worst.

Ummm… hello? Hi!

I was told, I think by some salesperson somewhere, that you should always answer the phone with a cheerful, bright “Hello!”  Actually, maybe I added the exclamation mark.  That advice garnered a laugh from my dad every time I answered the phone when he called.  He would laugh and then mimic my high-pitched …. oh wait, oops, trying to start a blog.

Anyway, I assume I should start a blog in a similar way.  Cheery, bright, let you know how awesome this will be and how reading this will be an awesome use of your work/childcare/doing taxes/morning coffee time.  Of course it will be.

What is this thing going to be about?  Everything.  Hopefully literally.  My plan is that I will be so full of great advice, fun stories, useful anecdotes and, don’t forget, handy tips that my prose will cover every item known to man, I mean, woman.

Can I narrow it down?  Oh man.  That is so hard for me.  Hard to tell a story directly, hard to not get off track, hard to not just talk and talk.  Let’s see.  As an example, this is how my week is going and these are some things that I might be writing about in the future.  I started thinking that I should get a real job, I mystery shop right now and while it’s fun and I can work it around my chronic back pain, I’ve been thinking that maybe I should get something a little more consistent.   I took one of my cats to the vet for lack of pooing and loss of weight.  Then I waited for her to poo.  Then I took her back to the vet where they scooped some of said poo out while taking an xray.  We are now back home waiting for more poo.  I went with my 17 year old daughter and her coach to video her riding her horse around a cross country course.  I walked around taking video, chased the dog when he got off leash, got lost, and fought off a toothache.   Oh!  I had a nice surprise when the outhouse turned out to have a flush toilet and running water to wash my hands with!

I actually made a list awhile ago about this very thing.  It has stuff like dealing with chronic pain, parenting kids with intent, working with a teen boy with special needs, and caring for a terminally ill parent.  Cool stuff like that but in a fun way.  Believe me, you can, and probably should, laugh at everything.

At the very least, it’s a story for later. – Me

One of my favourite guys.

Said dog that got of f leash.  He loves to play with horses.

Haha, I always answer the phone on a down tone. Maybe I should change 🙂

Be prepared to have surprised family and friends laugh at you! My dad always thought it was super funny.
